Meet Kyla*

Kyla Heyer is a business owner, social media specialist, co-creator of “Oh That Mom Glow”, and a mom.

Prior to today, Kyla graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in Radio/TV/Film. She spent 5 years in Los Angeles working in the television industry on shows such as CSI: Miami, Disney’s ANT Farm, The National Hockey League Awards and the American Music Awards. During her time in LA she also co-created a women’s blog, “Once a Month 4 Ladies”, giving women from all backgrounds an opportunity to share their strengths while taking some time for them.

She returned to the Fox Valley to start her business, The Backlot Comedy House. The world she created has become an outlet for local comedians to highlight their talents on stage as well as a place for audience members to have a good laugh. She teaches Improve with Improv, an improvisation-led workshop for local and statewide businesses & groups. Past clients include the Girl Scouts, Fleet Farm, Kimberly-Clark, Rotary Clubs, and UW-Oshkosh. Come see a show!

She is also a Social Media Community Manager for Kimberly-Clark, focusing on content creation and community engagement through social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

“Oh That Mom Glow” is her newest adventure with a longtime friend, Erica Bartsch. Through social media and goals of a podcast, OTMG, ventures into the daily life of motherhood. Parenting ain’t always pretty, so the dose of reality is pretty refreshing. Check out both and join the ride of motherhood and parenting!

When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her 6 month old kiddo, Quinn, and crafting!

Meet Alison

Alison Starr started her own business to pursue a passion and a dream. The name of her business is Tashi Deley.  It is a Tibet greeting that means “I honor the greatness within you.” Prior to creating Tashi Deley she served as the Vice President of Culture Development at Verve, a Credit Union. She had the privilege of being able to positively influence Verve’s culture as shown through the latest Gallup engagement score, 20-1. This is 5 times greater than Gallups average.

Prior to creating Tashi Deley and working at Verve, she was the principal at Lourdes Academy Elementary Schools in Oshkosh, Wisconsin while coaching their High School girls’ basketball team. Alison has also worked for the NBA, NCAA, and NBC.

Alison strives to create a culture of servant leadership through developmental trainings, motivational speaking and one-on-one coaching. Alison takes pride in serving those around her and inspiring others to do the same. Her leadership style is one of self-discovery, empowerment, candor, and unconditional love. She firmly believes servant leadership is a journey not a destination.

Through her experiences, Alison has discovered serving one another is key to fostering an exceptional team culture. She believes when you take care of your team, your team will take care of your customers, and the results will follow. In 2016, she had the opportunity to share her message at CUES CEO/Executive Team Network in Savannah, Georgia, where she was named a Finalist in the CUES Next Top Credit Union Executive Competition. Most recently, she shared one of her messages via a TEDx Talk.

Alison received her bachelor’s degree in Radio, TV, Film and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership. When she is not working, she enjoys golfing, watching basketball, fishing, creating arts/crafts and, last but not least, dance parties with her two children Vincent – (“Vinny”, 7) and Penelope – (“PJ”, 4).

Alison would love to see all organizations continue to get better at getting better through the development of the companies’ greatest asset…its people!

She lives by the motto: “Who you are is good enough; don’t ever stop creating the next best version of yourself. It feels great to grow.”


Meet Robyn

Robyn Y. Davis is the President and CEO of Brown County United Way, Green Bay, Wisconsin, a center for community-based strategies that unites people, ideas and resources to create community solutions that strengthens every person and every community in Brown County. Robyn began serving in that role in May, 2017. Prior to joining Brown County United Way, Robyn led Freedom House Ministries, Inc. in Green Bay as its President for 8 years. Freedom House Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to equipping homeless families with the skills and resources needed to achieve financial stability. Robyn is a long- standing member of Management Women and was the 2017 recipient of Management Women’s Nancy A. Felhofer Leadership Award. She is currently a member of the Green Bay Packers Board of Directors, the Weidner Center Presents Board of Directors, the Governing Board of the Brown County Homeless and Housing Coalition and the Northeast Wisconsin Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Robyn serves as a facilitator with the Center for Exceptional Leadership of St. Norbert College and is a sought after speaker on leadership topics. She has been a faithful attendee of Living Hope Church in Green Bay for the past 13 years.

The oldest of five children, Robyn was born and raised in New York City, New York. She has been a resident of the Greater Green Bay area for the past 15 years and has lived and worked in Washington, D.C., Rhode Island and Michigan. Robyn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University in English and Sociology as well as a Juris Doctor from the George Washington University School of Law. Robyn has leveraged her education and professional experience over a varied spectrum of leadership opportunities, including the practice of law, retail management and ministry. Robyn is an avid tennis and basketball fan, loves reading, jigsaw puzzles and music.


Meet Shavana – your panel moderator

Shavana Talbert, a graduate of Fond du Lac High School, earned a double Bachelor of Arts in African and African American Studies and Human Biology from Stanford University in 2016. She returned to Fond du Lac in 2017 and is currently serving as District Equity Coach for the FDL School District. Shavana carries out her passion for diversity and inclusion through coordinating and providing racial equity training for the district at large and chairing the District Equity Leadership Team (DELT).

Outside of work, Shavana enjoys traveling, eating and listening to live music. As a former Division 1 collegiate athlete, she is thrilled to lend her expertise in shot put and discus and give back to her alma mater as an assistant coach for Fond du Lac High School Girls’ Track & Field.

Shavana is currently a member of the Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund Board of Directors and the Fond du Lac Family YMCA Board of Directors. She is immersed in numerous community organizations including Big Brothers, Big Sisters; Ebony Vision; Northeast Wisconsin Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts and Young Professionals of Fond du Lac. Through her high level of involvement, Shavana strives to make Fond du Lac a more inclusive community that validates and affirms individuals of all identities and backgrounds.
